The Kidney Cancer Support Network has been joined by the Scottish charity; the Renal Cancer Research Fund to form one new charity to provide an improved range of support services to the kidney cancer community across the entire United Kingdom. We have always been registered as a patient led cancer charity in England & Wales and Northern Ireland and now, we will also be registered in Scotland. As a result of this partnership, we have changed our name and will be known as ACTION KIDNEY CANCER which more accurately reflects the growth of the charity and the nature and extent of the work we have become involved in over the years.

The International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC) is an independent international network of patient organisations that focus exclusively, or include a specific focus, on kidney cancer. The organisation was born from a very strong desire among various national kidney cancer patient groups to network, cooperate and share materials, knowledge, and experiences.

The Kidney Cancer Support Network (KCSN) is the UK’s largest and most active patient-led kidney cancer charity. The KCSN has been supporting kidney cancer patients since 2006 providing much needed information, support and advocacy for kidney cancer patients, their carers and families. The network brings together kidney cancer patients to share their experiences and to help improve knowledge and awareness of kidney cancer and to bridge the gap between the medical team and the day to day reality of living with cancer.

The Rarer Cancers Foundation supports cancer patients and the families of those diagnosed with a rare cancer.  Rare cancer patients are at a severe disadvantage compared to other patients  diagnosed with more common cancers. Having immediate access to a vast array of  quality information and having numerous Local and National support groups at their fingertips is not something that is readily available to patients diagnosed with a rarer cancer.We are striving to build Networks both nationally and internationally that will allow patients with a rarer cancer to connect with others and make that all important contact to share experiences and insights about their disease.
