Conducting and implementing research projects and clinical trials in phage therapy field.

Field researcher of the clinical research project COVIDRIVE, which goal is to study the effectiveness of the influenza and COVID-19 vaccines. My mains responsibilities were:- Implementing and executing the study Manual of Operations and Procedures - Data processing and transcription to the electronic data capture.- Collaboration in data matrix cleaning.- Resolution of queries.

I was involved in “PHAGOVET: A cost-effective solution for controlling Salmonella and Escherichia coli in poultry production”, a project supported by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (www.phagovet.eu), which its goal was to develop products based on bacteriophages for controlling Salmonella and Escherichia coli in poultry production. My mains responsibilities were to plan, carry out and optimize all the laboratory activities (concerning phage characterization) and collaborate in animal trials, write reports and participate in the activities related to the products registration to ECHA and EFSA.In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company provided RT-PCR testing service for detection of SARS-CoV-2. I participated in the entire process of this activity: sample input, RNA extraction (manual and automated), RT-PCR reactions, analysis and report of results, optimization of the protocols.

PhD in Animal Science, School of Veterinary Sciences, National University of Centre of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Subject: “Study of Shiga toxin 2a-encoding phages present in Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli strains”. Mark: 10/10.During my PhD stage I have implemented and optimized PCR and qPCR assays, I have handled bacteriophages and pathogenic bacteria and I have performed microbiological and molecular assays, such as DNA and RNA isolation, southern blot, ELISA, bacterial growth curve, generation of new lysogens, double-layer plaque assay. In this period, I have acquired features, such as: communication skills and work in team in harmony; flexibility and adaptation; critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills; determination, persistence and tolerance to frustration.
