My past work was in natural capital, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, health care, waste/materials reuse, water, biodiversity and education industries.Whether it is generating financial returns, advancing industry progress or translating international agreements into action via multiple jurisdictions, I am adept at co-creating progress. While I have taught at Masters levels and contributed to global impact investing, it is my practical insight, professional rigour and political nous in interactions with stakeholders has made the greatest difference.Taking situations from relative ambiguity or discord, I draw together coalitions that share in planning and integrated delivery of catalytic projects. To collaborate successfully and nurture high performing, multidisciplinary, geographically spread and culturally diverse teams, my interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence have been essential. In varied contexts, I negotiate the complexities of internal, operational risks and external challenges to leverage advantages from situations for mutual benefits or networked beneficiaries. Tackling business and societal challenges, I use environmental science, organisational and institutional change, economics and community empowerment techniques. With industry, government and communities, I broker co-design then delivery of game-changing initiatives. I worked on Australia's first natural capital accounts and regional markets for biodiversity/reducing run-off to the Great Barrier Reef. I also started one for the first in-house sustainability teams in Australia at QUT (setting the pace for divestment from fossil-fuels, sustainable procurement, resource efficiency, sector reporting plus risk management and Green-IT). In recent projects I advised on regional development, commercial ESG / intrapreneurship strategies.
