The Volunteer and Engagement Manager is responsible for community outreach, recruiting and aligning volunteer needs and objectives with the Foundation, and donor cultivation. Create content and manage ARPF's social media pages. Represents the Foundation in community initiatives and events that support the Foundation’s goals/strategies and engage key constituents.Recruit and supervise volunteers for ARPF Special Events including the Great American River Clean-Up, the largest clean-up event on the American River Parkway with 1,000+ volunteers across 23 miles, and ARPF's fundraising gala Summer Solstice.

The Volunteer Coordinator manages all environmental and volunteer programs at the American River Parkway Foundation. Assist with grants, manage all environmental internships, manage invasive plant removal activities on 4800+ acres of parkland, and seek new partnerships to increase parkway infrastructure as well as restoration potentials. Recruit, plan, coordinate and oversee all volunteer events and opportunities that conserve and nurture the American River Parkway.Recruit and supervise volunteers for ARPF Special Events including the Great American River Clean-Up, the largest clean-up event on the American River Parkway with 1,000+ volunteers across 23 miles, and ARPF's fundraising gala Summer Solstice. In charge of Parkway CONNECT, ARPF's initiative to increase access to the Parkway due to language barriers, socioeconomic status, knowledge of the park system, etc.

The Outdoor Education Director is in charge of creating, budgeting and marketing programs for YMCA Roberts Ranch. Design and facilitate community events including hikes, outdoor education, field trips, and family events. Second point of contact under the Operations Director for our volunteers and guests.Staff Trainer for the YMCA of Greater of San Antonio: I also am certified to train staff in multiple classes for the YMCA. I am an ASHI certified trainer in Basic Life Support, Basic First Aid, Emergency Oxygen and how to use an AED. I am a YMCA certified Lifeguard Instructor. And finally I am an AGMA Climbing Wall Instructor.

Summer Camp Program Director at YMCA Camp Flaming Arrow: Direct and run 9 weeks of summer programming. Create and administer the $500,000 budget for the Summer Camp program. In charge of recruiting and hiring 50+ Staff to then supervise for the summer season and recruiting the 1000+ campers that attend CFA during the summer. Program and manage additional weekend retreats, marketing events and the facility throughout the year. Create postings and help manage social media pages for YMCA Camp Flaming Arrow.Youth and Family Director at the Boerne Family YMCA: Oversee Youth and Family Programs at the Boerne Family YMCA. In charge of all holiday day camps including recruiting local staff, creating marketing material, programming actives, building the schedule and being the director on site. Manage and create monthly Family Events for Y members promoting healthy spirit, mind and body. Oversee and coordinate value-added programs, homeschool program, partnerships with other youth organizations and any other youth-centered program at the Boerne YMCA. Create postings and help manage social media pages for the Boerne Family YMCA.Program Director at YMCA Roberts Ranch: Create and facilitate community events including hikes, outdoor education, and family nights. I direct and run 9 weeks of summer programming. I create and administer the $500,000 budget for the Summer Camp program. I am also in charge of recruiting and hiring 50 Staff to work under me for the summer season and recruiting the 1000+ campers that attend CFA during the summer.

Point of Contact and in charge of all safety and ASHI drills Lead ASHI trainer for site, which includes CPR and AED, First Aid and Emergency OxygenRecord keeping for certifications for all staff including ASHI, Redwoods, YMCA Lifeguarding etc.

Managed and supervised the High Ropes course. Ensured that all safety procedures were correctly used and all safety equipment was up to date, that facilitators were using proper technique and safety measures, and that we met all scheduling deadlines. In the summer of 2014 we were able to double the size of the High Ropes course and get twice as many campers through the course as in previous years.

I help plan and run our summer camp programming with the Summer Camp Director. I supervise 50 members of staff and up to 140 campers, assist in hiring and recruiting counselors, and plan new activities and modifications to the schedule, I will also be the Day Camp Director and oversee High Ropes.

My responsibilities include creating coordinated schedules for our five programs, supervising 50 members of staff and up to 140 children, assisting in hiring and termination decisions and interviews, and parent consultations. This summer I was able to streamline the scheduling process to accommodate a new program in our schedule in the same amount of time.

I coordinated the pioneer schedule at Camp Flaming Arrow, which included up to 8 cabins with a total of 16 staff members. I handled advanced camper issues, advised and supervised camp counselors, and created camp-wide programs. Through this work our summer camp was number one in the National Seer's Satisfaction Survey.

Provided high quality outdoor educational and recreational experiences for campers that focus on the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Spent 8 weeks supervising cabins of 10-12 campers ages 6-15 with other camp counselors leading campers’ activities, enforcing safety rules, procedures, and ensuring they were having the summer of a lifetime.
