As an intern in a Congressional office, my day-to-day tasks include interfacing with constituents and assisting with casework issues; researching policy objectives for hearings and constituent meetings, with a focus on energy infrastructure; and organizing the Congresswoman’s schedule and office operations. I had the opportunity to take this role while still in school because I was selected as a representative of the Leland Fellows program through the UH Hobby School of Public Policy.
