I am a Product Manager who is passionate about using technology to empower and delight users. I weave my mechanical engineering & software QA background together with my product discipline, to ship high-quality, high impact products. While I firmly believe in shipping well-built features, I do so incrementally to always deliver continuous value.I was originally trained in college as a mechanical engineer, before spending 3 years as a QA and PM in software in the smart home industry. My focus was on the mobile app - both Android and iOS - building technical products like MFA, user management, and emergency notification personalization, to be consumable by the average non-technical end user.I have another 2.5 years of experience as a PMT at Amazon, working on the NICE DCV display protocol. The product powers customers on EC2 to build virtual desktop environments, as well as our own end-user desktop streaming services (WorkSpaces, AppStream 2.0, etc). My focus has been simplifying and improving the complicated task of self-managing VDI environments for system administrators. In all of these roles, I have been responsible for defining product vision, strategy and roadmap, partnering with engineering, UX, legal and marketing, and assessing the technical feasibility of and executing on the products I have scoped. My writing skills, cross-team communication skills and empathy for the end user are my strongest assets when designing product roadmaps.
