The Civil Club is a student council for all Civil Engineering undergraduate students at UBC. The mission of the UBC Civil Engineering Club is to improve the university experience of students in civil engineering and represent them to the UBC Engineering Undergraduate Society, the UBC Alma Mater Society, the Faculty of Applied Science, and the Department of Civil Engineering.We strive to broaden learning beyond an academic degree and we foster pride in the multi-faceted accomplishments of our members. Through diverse and effective services and events addressing the needs of its students, the Civil Club builds a welcoming environment for members of the civil engineering community and UBC communities, past, present, and future.

Assisted civil engineering consultants with drafting, design, and construction project planning. Project highlights include:- Hydraulic Modelling for the City of East Palo Alto: Calculated the water demand for five proposed developments in East Palo Alto and determined the effects of the discharge on the existing sanitary system. Used HYDRA 7 to model the results and determine necessary pipe-resizing to prevent overflow. Presented a memo of results.- Sanitary Sewer Point Repairs for the City of East Palo Alto: Drafted all submitted design documents up to the 90% submittal on a sewer point repairs project at 10 locations throughout the City of East Palo Alto. This included coordinating with a surveyor, requesting and mapping existing utilities, reviewing CCTV, making recommendations for repair locations, and drafting the construction documents.- Accessible Curb Ramp Design: Designed ADA-compliant accessible curb ramps at three different intersections in the Town of Hillsborough and up to 20 intersections in Treasure Island. All ramps were designed to accommodate San Francisco's conservative requirements for accessible curb ramps.

Assisted civil engineering consultants with drafting, design, and construction project planning. Project highlights include:- Alpine Road Emergency Sanitary Sewer Repair for the Town of Portola Valley: Drafted and designed documents and drawings for this sewer replacement project in Portola Valley. Performed an engineer’s estimate, collaborated on an RFP, conducted a solitary site visit, and created all design documents up to the 100% submittal.- Composite Utility Sketches for SFMTA and UCSF: Requested utility mapping and created composite utility sketches to aid with preliminary site design for two projects: one in San Francisco's Tenderloin district for SFMTA and another at Hunter's Point for UCSF.- Linda Mar Pump Station Testing: Coordinated with the Town of Pacifica to gather data at the a wastewater pump station to use as part of a pump station redesign. Presented a memo of the research results.

UBC Concrete Toboggan is a student-lead design team that designs and builds a toboggan with concrete skis to race at the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race (GNCTR). I was part of the Mix Design and Sponsorship sub-teams. I was selected to be part of the delegation representing UBC at the 2017 GNCTR in Waterloo, Ontario. UBC Concrete Toboggan won first place in the sustainable design sub-category.
