I am a scientist dedicated to advancing human health and quality of life through biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, public health, and environmental sustainability. I place great importance in science communication and regularly write about health science. I currently work as a Protein Research Associate at Exosome Diagnostics developing liquid biopsy processes using specific immunocapture of extracellular vesicles from various biofluids with protein and nucleic acid readout methods. Previously, I worked at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT in the clinical COVID diagnostics lab as a Process Development Technician and Reagent Preparation Technician performing high-throughput diagnostics via various automated liquid handlers and qPCR. In 2020, I received a bachelors degree in Neuroscience and Pre-Medical and Pre-Pharmacy Sciences with minors in Public Health and Asian Studies at Wheaton College MA. Skilled in protein, biological, chemical, psychological, and neurological research methods, experimental design, data analysis, and academic writing. These include, but are not limited to, immunocapture, magnetic bead methods, Western blot, SDS-PAGE, ELISA, nucleic acid extraction, protein extraction, RT qPCR, fluorescent imaging, protein conjugation, extracellular vesicle isolation, treatment of animal models, and operation of automated liquid handlers. I am also skilled in using ExoView, Olink, Octet, Jess, Peggy Sue, ect.. Liquid handlers include Hamilton Biostar, Bravo, Tecan Freedom Evoware, Lynx, Multiflow, ect..Certified in introductory laboratory use of rats, laboratory animal welfare for investigators, COVID-19 Contact Tracing, and completed Emergency Medical Technician training in the state of Massachusetts. Enjoys studying botany, horticulture, Japanese and Italian language and culture, environmental studies, and art.
