Profile bio

About Julia Echevarria

I’m a storyteller, ideator, and service designer with a passion for social impact work. With two fine arts degrees and a natural talent for rhetoric, communicating and connecting with people through digital media is my bread and butter. My professional experience to date has included, among others, UX design, multimedia communications work, and course design. As a creative generalist, I can do and learn lots of different designerly things; but what sets me apart from my peers is my ability to produce conceptually razor-sharp work that prioritizes the human experience. My other superpower is a skill I call “sense-making”— applying various methods, media, and technologies to develop creative assets and tell conversation-starting stories that help people understand complex ideas. I thrive in lots of different creative problem solving spaces, but am especially drawn toward work at non-profits and social impact organizations.SKILLS + TECHAdobe suite; Agile; Airtable; Canva; collaboration; communications; Confluence; content creation; copy editing; copywriting; course design; design research; design systems; design thinking; Dovetail; Figma; Google Suite; graphic design; human-centered design; ideation; illustration; interaction design; JIRA; Lottie; Microsoft Suite; Miro; mobile application; multimedia; Notion; product design; program design; proofreading; prototyping; pseudocode; responsive web; service design; Sketch; Slack; storytelling; technical writing; user-centered design; UX; Veracross; video; wireframing; writing
