Nach 17 Jahren Tätigkeit als selbstständige Fotografin, wechselte ich 2022 mit dem Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration in die öffentliche Verwaltung. In meiner Bachelorarbeit beschäftigte ich mich mit dem Thema „Fotografie und ihre Grenzen in der politischen Berichterstattung in Deutschland“. Mein frühes Interesse an Fotografie führte mich zum Lette Verein in Berlin. 2017 absolvierte ich ein Masterprogramm mit dem Fotografen Nick Knight und wurde im Anschluss von Vogue Italia nach Mailand eingeladen, um an der Gruppenausstellung "female gaze" teilzunehmen. Aktuell arbeite ich in der Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt als Regierungsinspektorin auf Probe auf Berliner Landesebene. Dort kümmere ich mich u.a. um zwei Förderprogramme. Die Vergabe von Arbeits- und Recherchestipendien für Künstler und Künstlerinnen der freien Kunstszene Berlins, bereitet mir große Freude, da es gerade in Zeiten von Krisen wichtig ist, kreative Berufe aktiv zu unterstützen und zu fördern. After 17 years as a freelance photographer, I switched to public administration in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration. In my Bachelor's thesis, I dealt with the topic of "Photography and its limits in political reporting in Germany". My early interest in photography led me to the Lette Verein in Berlin. In 2017, I completed a master's program with the well known fashion photographer Nick Knight and was subsequently invited by Vogue Italia to Milan to take part in the group exhibition "female gaze". I currently work in the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion as a probationary government inspector at Berlin state level. Among other things, I am responsible for two funding programs. Awarding work and research grants for artists in Berlin's independent art scene gives me great pleasure, as it is particularly important to actively support and promote these creative professions in times of crisis.
