Created a new Social Adult Day Program for people with Alzheimer's disease and dementia living in the community. Created a marketing plan and did outreach to gain new consumers to the program. Supervised five full time case managers for people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. Carried a case load of 35 clients when staff left or were on leave. Assisted with problem solving any issues that case managers had in regards to entitlements and benefits. I was responsible for quality assurance and improvement of the program. To do this, I conducted monthly phone calls and face to face visits with the clients on my case load as well as the case load of all my staff.

Created and supervised recreational programs for children and adults who have mental retardation and developmental disabilities. To create the programs, I created the annual budgets, hired, trained and supervised staff, marketed the programs, and did outreach to nine communities in south eastern Westchester county to find new consumers with two other Program Supervisors. The Program Supervisors were responsible for the assessment of all new consumers to ensure that they were registering for activities that would benefit their needs. We completed all of the state and city requirements for the funders. I oversaw drivers who were 19A certified and went through 19A audits. I was responsible for completion of the 19A paperwork in a timely manner. I was responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the two school buses and one van that was used by the agency.

I mainstreamed kids with mental retardation and developmental disabilities into a regular sleep away camp. During non camp season, I created a database to follow all of the kids who went to camp to aide in reregistration the following year. I ran a community recreation program for young adults with learning disabilities. I developed, implemented, and evaluated community recreation programs for adults with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. I supervised and evaluated staff who ran the recreation programs.
