The Wellness Center Manager is responsible for the Wellness Center healthcare compliance, planning, organization, direction, implementation, execution, measurement and correction of a comprehensive health services program that is cost effective while improving clinical outcomes including direct health care, indirect health care and community health services. The Manager implements missions, programs, and requirements of health care delivery systems as well as implements regulations and standards of various regulatory and credentialing groups; and Government-wide, agency, and facility systems and requirements in various administrative areas such as budget, personnel and procurement.

Leads Flight of 15 personnel. Serve as the Medical Group Emergency Manager, guiding FEMA Region IV National Disaster Medical System response, plans and exercises. Maintain a disaster response posture that enables effective response to disasters and allows for mission capability. Directs peacetime/wartime contingency plans for the Air Force’s third largest medical mobility mission encompassing 89 tons of material, 1.2K medics, and 116 Unit Type Codes (UTCs). Advise senior executive leadership on all aspects of readiness. Provide effective management oversight of 10 medical counter-Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) Homeland Defense packages. Oversee deployment training for all medical personnel to carry out deployment tasks. Evaluate all manpower, resource, procedural, capability issues affecting mobility readiness. Review and evaluate contingency programs and activities.
