About Julia Hack
I am the Volunteer and Events Coordinator at the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC). Here, I recruit and manage our volunteers who support a variety of our programs and special events, including YES Day for Autism and the Annual Community Breakfast. Additionally, I provide logistical support to other SARRC events and groups, such as the Professional Advisory Council and the Grandparents Group. I have a degree in Political Science from the University of Scranton. Before joining SARRC, I worked as a Career Navigator at Arizona Career Pathways, where I provided career coaching and financial support to low-income students who attend the ten Maricopa Community Colleges. I worked on two programs funded by the City of Phoenix and State of Arizona, through which I helped our students achieve their educational goals. Prior to that, I served in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps at St. Joseph the Worker. Here, I worked with clients to evaluate their needs, assisted them in filling out the proper paperwork, created client resumes, did intakes, and provided computer assistance. I worked closely with the Employment Specialists to support client successes in employment. I am passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in the community.
