Keystone species are key to a healthy ecosystem. Without them, the integrity of the ecosystem is compromised and in a lot of instances the ecosystem collapses. Keystonespeciesalliance.org is a 501(c)4 coalition of environmental attorneys, government officials, indigenous leaders, climate scientists, conservationists + biologists changing national and international legal frameworks around keystone species. We are currently partnered with the Mexican Government of the State of Quintana Roo and working at the Mexican Senate. Every ecosystem has certain species that are critical to the survival of the other species in the system. The keystone species could be a huge predator or an unassuming plant, but without them the ecosystem may not survive. Grounded.org is a community for action and viable solutions that can mitigate the worst impacts of our climate emergency. Grounded supports climate solutions action through grants and advocacy in 3 different areas:1 - Stopping further emissions + transitioning to clean energy 2- Protection and regeneration of ecosystems 3- Strategic environmental legislation and policy By bridging grassroots community action with the government and private sectors, we are transforming hopelessness into empowerment.
