The built environment directly impacts large numbers of people every day and contributes to a large portion of greenhouse gases. By working in this field, I can have a tangible impact on the community around me. My ultimate goal is to design resilient buildings that reduce urban impacts on climate change.I am currently in my fourth year of five as an undergrad at Tufts University. Last fall I studied abroad in Madrid where I took an incredible class focused on medieval Spanish architecture and urban planning. In the spring I started full-time at GEI Consultants, a geotechnical engineering firm, which has given me a wide range of technical experience and helped guide my own professional goals. This fall, I continued working part-time at GEI and returned to Tufts to continue my Civil Engineering degree with a focus on sustainability and architecture.
