Manage and lead team of experienced Assistant and Associate General Counsel in AIG’s Corporate Litigation group within the Global Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory department. Highlights include the following: • Manage complex and high-value domestic and international coverage litigation pending in various trial and appellate-level courts, including several cutting-edge cases. • Provide pre-litigation advice and counseling on significant matters involving complex coverage issues. • Provide hands-on management of team’s 400+ cases. Set strategy, find creative solutions, vet substantive arguments, consider industry impact, ensure consistency of positions, identify weaknesses and new arguments, enhance written work product, ensure forward movement, provide settlement recommendations, and present complex issues to senior and executive leadership. Collaborate with colleagues throughout the organization and the world.• Vet requests by the business to file affirmative litigation; make sound and strategic decisions regarding same.• Design, coordinate, and present CLEs, trainings, and department events on a variety of topics. • Recruit, train, develop, and retain direct reports while managing their workflow.
