I am currently working on R&D projects with companies from oil&gas and port sectors such as Petrobras and Vale S.A. My main duties are: - Processing and analyzing data from various sources, including buoys, ADCP, weather stations, remote sensing, and model output;- Responsible for conducting hindcast and forecast wave simulations for both coastal and offshore applications;- Quality-checking of measured metocean datasets (mainly waves, winds, tidal, and currents);- Use of machine learning techniques to cluster environmental data;- Production of bulletins reporting operational windows according to environmental criteria;- Write metocean site assessment reports (climate trends and extreme events analysis);- Perform statistical analyses to establish operational metocean criteria and support design values;- Write reports on research findings and attending international conferences and per-reviewer papers.

Tools such as Python and Matlab, plus the WW3 and SWAN wave models were used to meet the demand for consulting projects. In addition, a research was carried out about the propagation of Swells on the South-Southeast Coast of Brazil and the use of remote sensing technique (altimetry) to measure the significant wave height.

I worked as a researcher in Remote Sensing field, developing a simplifying methodology for calculating the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) images of OLI sensor/Landsat 8.I had experience with application of Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing and Digital Image Processing through some of the most used Geotechnology softwares such as ArcGIS and QuantumGIS.
