Hello!!! I've been working as a full time graphic designer/office assistant for just over three years now, but I started with Oliver's Markets over 6 years ago. I began bagging groceries while also taking classes at the SRJC and working as a stage manager. Through my own talent for design and organization as well as the organizational and management skills I honed as a stage manager, I quickly worked my way up to the position of administrative assistant. This position was primarily administrative in nature, but I also got the opportunity to use my abilities as a digital and traditional artist to produce in-house graphics. I would have been very happy to stay in that position indefinitely, but my wages were low and I could not feasibly continue to live on the income I was making. I was lucky enough to be offered a full time graphics position at our corporate office, which is where I've been since 2018! At the moment, my work consists primarily of digital graphic design, some traditional art production, copy writing for blogs, and recipe creation. I have been with Oliver's throughout the pandemic as well, but I'm currently looking to expand my horizons with more schooling and/or a change in career.In my free time, I love to paint or sketch, cook with my friends, and enjoy the finer points of living in wine country. I am also a classically trained operatic mezzo soprano, and I have been acting in theatrical productions for over twelve years. Though I am not actively engaged in theater at the moment, I still make the occasional short-film with friends, both as an actor and as a member of the production team. I previously worked as stage manager and assistant stage manager for both the SRJC and the unfortunately now-defunct Shakespeare in the Cannery.
