Following a BA Communications & Management degree at the University of Leeds, Julia worked for Emap & Conde Nast in London, before qualifying as a commercial lawyer. In 2010 Julia created multi-award winning online platform and wedding show business Loved Up North (formerly Brides Up North). Loved Up North is one of the most visited online bridal resources in the UK. Loved Up North has a loyal offline following having hosted hundreds of luxury wedding shows since 2012. The Love Shows, The Love Festival Tour and industry parties across Yorkshire, the North West and North East have become famous for their innovative and fun-filled signature style and are loved by both visiting couples and exhibiting suppliers.The Love Letters tabloid newspaper was launched in 2023 to complement the brand's wedding show calendar. Julia became Editor of glossy bridal magazine UNVEILED in 2015 and in 2016 acquired the brand for the UNVEILED Group Ltd portfolio. The launch of wedding supplier community UNVEILED Network followed in 2020.In 2021 Julia created the mentoring and digital marketing side of the business, which later became UNVEILED Creative Agency. UNVEILED Creative Agency & Studio is now located on the beautiful Rudding Estate in Harrogate. The UNVEILED Creative team can offer a full service or “pick n mix” marketing solution to include launch events; showcases; brand audit and design; copywriting for web, print media, press, brochures, or sales funnels; social media marketing; social media training; art direction and content creation and more, with extensive experience in the wedding and hospitality industry.In 2023 Julia co-founded Venue Zen. Julia has been profiled in or contributed to almost every national wedding magazine title, both consumer & B2B, as well featuring extensively in regional bridal titles, national news and lifestyle press.Julia lives in Yorkshire with her husband, their children and their dogs, Buddy & Lulu. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, travel, cinema, reading, skiing, swimming and she loves a pub quiz!
