The new format of the event changed the role to include more social media and community outreach in order to relay the changes to volunteers. Coordination involved planning social media posts, creating engaging videos, answering questions from the community, setting up platforms for reporting cleanup data, and analyzing that data throughout the month. Over 700 volunteers picked up over 3,000 pounds of trash.
