- Assessing solicited and unsolicited material- Commissioning 4-5 books a year - Ensuring Sales, Publicity and Marketing were up-to-date with regards to their individual requirements for a successful book launch

- Reporting to three managers, I learnt to prioritise, make judgements and meet tight deadlines- Commissioning freelance editors, designers and indexers- Commissioning new projects, such as US buy-ins and revised editions
