About Julia Khan
After graduating with two STEM degrees in '13, Julia began her career teaching high school chemistry. Though passionate about education, she eventually grew tired of following the same routines every year, discussing only concepts at the level of her students. She then turned her attention to working in industry with scientific technology at 3M, General Mills, etc. R&D and method development held more challenges, but she soon found that the most interesting applications were computationally intensive. She was far happier solving puzzles behind a computer screen than messy wet chemistry. Julia started at Hackbright in September '22 and since then has had a hard time putting her computer down, reading and testing ideas long after the day ends. After graduation, she joined Target’s Emerging Engineer Program where she was assigned to the Network Switching Fabrics team.
