Hi, I’m Julia Williams! I hold a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Oregon and am passionate about understanding human behavior and promoting mental well-being.I currently work as a full-time Clinical Research Assistant for the OHSU PEACH Study, which investigates how social connectedness, emotional regulation, and environmental factors influence early adolescent health and development. In this role, I schedule and administer participant visits, collect and process biological samples, and conduct behavioral coding. Prior to this role, I spent four years as a volunteer research assistant at the University of Oregon, where I honed skills in behavioral coding and facilitating in-person study visits, focusing on self-regulation, mindfulness, stress, and coping.I am particularly interested in the development of ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders and aspire to contribute to the field of psychology as a Pediatric Neuropsychologist. More specifically, I am interested in the predictors, development, and early detection of neurodivergence in children, as well as the empowerment of the individuals.I am committed to advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) within psychology and beyond. During my undergraduate years, I served as Director of Mental Health, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Sexual Violence Prevention for my sorority. This role allowed me to develop leadership, presentation, and communication skills while leading important conversations on these critical issues.I’m always eager to connect with others who share my passion for psychology, research, and advocacy.
