While working at Akamai, I took on projects to add API endpoints to the Java backend to facilitate the collection and visualization of internal data, as well as to manage data used in A/B testing. Creating these endpoints required me to add Elasticsearch support to one of the repositories and write queries in both Elasticsearch and SQL. While working on these projects, I had to work collaboratively with many members of the team for every step from the design document through testing.In addition to my work on the Java backend, I also wrote several Python automation programs to assist the team during releases and deployment. In addition, I wrote a Python program to generate test data from files provided from Amazon S3 to be supplied to an existing test framework.

I worked on a project to create a front-end web dashboard for running installation, uninstallation, and upgrade OpenShift jobs using an existing backend codebase. This project also involved creating a resilient connection that can detect failures and automatically restart the connection. I also wrote unit tests for the Python backend using Pytest, raising the test coverage considerably for several repositories.
