Through this role I provide administrative support to the School of Journalism for efficient functioning and day-to-day operation of the office. I work with the administrative and technical teams to coordinate and support School operations, events and meetings. I also provide a front-line response to a variety of needs of students, faculty and staff colleagues.

Joined towards the end of the winter semester to help co-editor Logan Donoghue with EIC duties. Created and assigned pitches to New Wave contributors, edited articles for the website, uploaded content and cleaned up newwavezine.com.I pitched, edited and uploaded the articles attached in media.

Hired two teams of Social Media Representatives, managed and created a monthly posting schedule for New Wave's Instagram, X (Twitter), and TikTok platforms, and oversaw content creation by reps. Assisted and edited posts when needed, assigned article promotion and team promotional content.Created branding guides and onboarding documents for social media representatives.

I attended weekly meetings to pitch stories for the current and upcoming weeks. Helped classmates find sources, assisted in the control room during live broadcasts, interviewed/wrote/edited and produced 10 stories.

Through The Green Line x CityNews Toronto, I co-produced and formulated a 3-minute biweekly segment where we did a hyperlocal deep dive and profiled a neighbourhood in the city. With this show, we uncovered the solutions and innovations coming out of Toronto’s underserved communities, while connecting Torontonians to the issues that matter most to them.In the role, I assisted in developing program content, researching, and editing. I prepared scripts that adhere to the style and format of our segment. I also conducted interviews and prepared the lead reporter on interview points.
