I served as military publications editor for the News & Messenger, Stafford County Sun, Belvoir Eagle and Quantico Sentry from 2007-2012. In that position, I was responsible for generating, editing and posting online local military coverage for the newspaper group and its associated web site and supervised the contractor staff at both the Sentry and Eagle. From 2005-2007, I was a general assignment reporter for the Belvoir Eagle, a weekly newspaper contractually published by the newspaper group. I covered and wrote stories on a wide variety of topics, including BRAC, military deployments, soldier training and the Global War on Terrorism.

As a general assignment reporter for this twice-weekly newspaper serving the Outer Banks, I covered and wrote stories on a number of diverse topics, including governmental affairs at the local, state and national level, cops, courts and community happenings.
