My areas of expertise included raster GIS (mosaic datasets and image services), as well as spatial statistics, spatial analysis, enterprise geodatabase administration, accessing data through SQL queries, and Python.

Clark Labs aims to release a new vertical application toolbox next Spring called the Ecosystem Services Modeler (ESM). ESM will provide a means of quantifying the magnitude and dollar value of services provided by natural ecosystems, such as carbon sequestration, biodiversity, coastal protection, sedimentation, or animal pollination. I wrote the Idrisi manual, Help menu, and Tutorial sections for ESM. Worked with a team of researchers to develop a user-interface for ESM that is efficient and easy to use, and developed case studies for models so that new users are able to learn how to create data, where to obtain data, and how to use the software.

Assisted Dr. Karen Frey in her instruction of the course "The Climate System and Global Environmental Change." Discussed climate variability across multiple temporal and spatial scales and Earth processes from a Systems Science perspective. Met with students for individual instruction, graded assignments and exams, and helped with general organization of the course.

Edited and managed coursework, led class discussions, and worked with ArcGIS and IDRISI lab assignments to teach graduate students the applications of GIS. Covered vector and raster GIS and guided students in multiple research projects.

Tested for bugs in the latest version of IDRISI Image Processing software for GIS Developers at Clark Labs. Worked primarily on the development of IDRISI Earth Trends Modeler, a time series analysis tool for climatology and teleconnection analysis

Produced a Disaster Relief map for the Japanese government of damage caused by the March 2011 Earthquake in a rural town in southern Japan. The map was published on the International Charter for Space and Major Disasters website. Studied the possible causes of drought in the Amazon basin in 2005 and 2010 using Earth Trends Modeler, which incorporated Principle Components Analysis, Anomaly analysis, and teleconnection analysis
