I entered the field of Pathology because of the lifelong learning about all aspects of diseases of the human body. That interest has not faded over the past 25 years. My passion is the diagnosis of solid tumors with a strong interest in frozen section diagnosis and techniques. I have been the medical director of a variety of hospital and clinic laboratories, and have completed the ASCP Laboratory Management University program. Blood banking is my primary strength in the clinical lab. In our anatomic pathology lab, I have been the director of the Histology Laboratory for many years, selecting and validating new instruments and immunoperoxidase stains. Billing has also been under my supervision for many years, and I am skilled at capturing correct coding for maximization of revenue. The visual nature of Pathology is fascinating, which ties into my artistic interests in collage and mosaic.
