I am the Founder of the Automotive 30% Club and CEO of Gaia Innovation Ltd, and author of "Change the Game: the Leader's Route Map to a Winning Gender-Balanced Business". I am an expert on transforming business performance through gender balance and inclusion in the automotive sector, and have over 30 years experience in automotive retailing, manufacturing and consulting, with roles in Quality, HR, Dealer Training, Recruitment, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Brand and Advertising. The Automotive 30% Club is a large group of MDs and CEOs who are taking action to transform their companies to rise to the skills and leadership challenges of 2030 and beyond. I was given the Sue Brownson Award by the IMI in 2022 and made an Honorary Fellow in 2023. I was named in the Financial Times and HERoes Top 50 Women in Business Global Champions of Diversity in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 for my work as the Founder of the Automotive 30% Club, a network of progressive CEOs and MDs of Automotive OEMs, retailers and suppliers who are actively working to close the gender gap in the industry. I specialise in encouraging leaders to be innovative, create inclusive cultures, assisting women in automotive to progress, inspiring girls to join male dominated sectors, and leading campaigns through which industry leaders engage with schools to inspire more girls to consider careers in automotive. I am also a Vice President of the Automotive Leadership Network. I was awarded the Women’s Automotive Special Recognition Award 2016 by the ABP Women’s Automotive Group, and also given the Mary Lou Carrington Award by the Worshipful Company of Educators for the school speeches I gave through the charity Speakers for Schools.Gaia Innovation is a not-for-profit social enterprise that powers the Automotive 30% Club. We run the regular best practice sharing meetings for members and their HR professionals, provide advice on school engagement and outreach, organise the annual Inspiring Automotive Women awards, publish the LinkedIn Campaigns to raise awareness that women can thrive in automotive, maintain the Automotive 30% Club website and organise our annual member conference.
