As a Smeal Student Mentor, I guide Smeal first-year students through their transition from high school to college. I host monthly meetings and socials with my assigned mentees in order to support them professionally, academically, and socially. Along with general mentoring services such as resume reviews and career advice, I manage the specific interests of my mentees in order to lead them towards individualized opportunities and services available. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for this position, as the formation of secure and genuine relationships with mentees is necessary to properly address and solve personal issues and challenges that arise throughout the year.

As a Team Leader, I guide a group of fellow student mentors in the organization toward success by modeling a growth-inducing mentee-to-mentor relationship. I help to conduct training sessions, implement team-building exercises, and oversee administrative aspects of the organization.

Delta Sigma Pi's efforts help to unite young professional Penn State business students in their early careers and encourage engagement in professional development workshops, networking opportunities, and fundraising and community service efforts. The fraternity establishes a social community meant to foster the development of genuine relationships.

Through my role as an Audit Intern at GRF CPAs & Advisors, I effectively prepared cash disbursements, cash receipts, credit cards, and payroll walkthroughs for current GRF clients. By extensively researching audit opinions, preparing audit materials, and collaborating with fellow employees, I deepened my understanding on the structure and analysis of financial statements. I used this understanding to compose strategies on how clients can improve their internal reporting and discussed findings with GRF partners and managers.

As a THON committee member, I provide hospitality services to our Penn State THON dancers and Four Diamonds children and families during THON weekend and other THON-sponsored events. In order to better understand THON's cause and raise awareness for it, I participate in weekly educational meetings describing the stories of our families and the organization itself, and actively fundraise through a DonorDrive to financially support the cause. Holding the icebreaker position on the committee, I install team building exercises into our routine meetings and encourage the establishment of trust among all members.

Working at Floga Italian Bistro, I was able to develop and strengthen many communication-based and customer service skills through face-to-face customer interaction. Problem-solving and multi-tasking skills were prevalent for the job, as I handled many different types of responsibilities-- customer orders and interactions, online and counter orders, inventory orders-- during a single shift.
