This role will bring together heritage MPC and new MPC (formerly Andeavor). We are one MPC and we will unify.

• Team lead the daily activities of a team of 6 information technology professionals while working closely with multiple business partners supported.• Led formal IT projects for archiving in SAP, integration of ledgers for acquisition (acquired Oct. 2018), and treasury debt utilization. Completed project documentation, prioritized project team members work, facilitated user acceptance of delivered products.• Treasury: improved the bank account creation process and decreased configuration and testing time by 50%. Created standardized configuration documentation, updated the form that is submitted to IT, created dummy testing files to ensure complete and accurate testing. Reduced errors in the bank account creation process.• Created standard process for company code creation that resulted in a reduction of errors, quicker configuration time, and documented approvals for audit purposes. Over 150 company codes created in 2018 with a 40% time savings on development work. • Identified system processing issues and concerns that resulted in closing jobs processing quicker resulting in a faster close for the accounting and finance departments.• Improved relationships between accounting department and information technology department as a liaison, gained confidence in the business clients by presenting items in an understandable fashion. •Led project team that designed, tested, implemented, and supported a secure Park & Post for journal entries process in SAP, the enhancement project was presented at SAP Insiders Finance 2015.•Developed a portion of Business Process Hierarchy (BPH) documents that are used for the global template for SAP after analyzing business processes and developing tools as part of the BPH. Generated process maps and workflows for current system and new functionality.•Supported accounting and finance departments in transition from legacy system to SAP; trained accountants, supervisors, and controllers on system functionality; created desk side aides for processes to aide in transition of staff members to new roles.•Improved efficiencies for month end processes to allow for quicker close with less errors and audit findings.•Guided the business to a resolution for ledgers between legal entities not matching. Issue stemmed two years, with a difference in the ledgers of a million dollars and required collaboration with multiple business organizations for resolution.•Achieved Green Belt Certification from projects focused on foreign currency revaluation program after a million-dollar restatement and creating a process to ensure accurate postings. Improved the foreign currency revaluation process by securing the rate input process and correcting the program while working with the business to find additional process improvements. Certification earned October 2015.•Managed configuration changes and related documents for addition of company codes and international deployments for financial accounting functionality with multiple deployments in the United States and international entities.•Presented SAP functionality to subsidiaries in Mexico; documented business requirements; & communicated project updates to the business in preparation for SAP deployment.

SME Responsibilities:• Redesigned Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) invoice posting process after company went live improved posting rate by 90%.• Trained accounts payable department on new system functionality and delivered aide materials.Accounts Payable Supervisor:• Lead the accounts payable staff of five individuals of daily activities.• Implemented business processes to increase invoice application in SAP which increased discounts on payments by 15%.• Delivered timely month-end closing activities, financial statement preparation, review and analysis.
