I am a design Mechanical Engineer, with 5 years of engineering design experience. I bring creative problem solving, a drive for improvement, and a passion for impacting the lives of others to the medical device industry. I have been involved in every step of the medical device development process from original ideation to FDA submission to transfer to manufacturing. Through contract engineering, I have worked on devices in dialysis, diagnostics, surgical equipment, and many other niches.I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Biomechanics at Colorado School of Mines while working part time as a contract mechanical engineer for consumer goods design.I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology Honors Program with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and a focus in Bioengineering. Some of my years of experience come from a combination of co-ops and my design position on a world-class engineering competition team. In addition to my experience in Medical Devices, I was also the Ergonomics Designer for the RIT Baja SAE team for 3 years. I designed and manufactured many carbon fiber composite components, while taking into consideration iterative design changes from qualitative and quantitative data and FEA, as well as integration with other subsystems.
