Developed and implemented a comprehesive MA educational program to meet the objective of all MAs being prepared to pass the national certifcation exam. All MAs were successful. Hired 5 nurse managers. Began processes for acheiving NCQA PCMH recognition.

Faculty position. Taught and was the Course Coordinator for Foundation of Nursing Practice (an 8-credit clinical and didactic course). Managed all class schedules, clinical and skill lab schedules for 6-8 faculty. Taught the medical-surgical lecture course. Served on a variety of committees. Active participant in succesfull HLC accreditation. Secured a grant through the Hartford Foundation to embed geriatric nursing within courses. Advisor to 8-10 students/year.

Managed day-to-day operations of all clinical programs: family planning, communicable disease control, case management, health education, WIC, and childhood vaccines. Grant-writer for the department. Secured over $650,000 of grant-funding for local health education programs. 8 direct reports. Secured agreement with local FQHC to build a full-service primary care clinic next to the health department. Worked with large Hispanic popualtion. Reported to the Administrator.

Was selected to be a fellow of this very pretigious Foundation. Fellowship focused on leadership development and a large scale project in my place of work. Fellowship paired me with a nursing leader working for the President Carter Center. She was the Executive Leader for the Ethiopian Public Health Initiative. As a result of the fellowship I served as a consultant for the Carter Center assessing the clinics in Ethiopin for grant-refunding application. Currently continue as an active RWJ Alumna.
