Owning books is a proven tool for deep, long-lasting social change. I lead Book Dash, a South African-founded impact publisher and global player in the early development and education sector. We're making big impact to children and fellow organisations who promote access to diverse books for all. Through my work at Book Dash, I am privileged to sit on a number of executive committees, including the Global Network for Early Years' Book-Gifting and the South African Chapter of IBBY. I have presented on Book Dash at the World Literacy Summit, attended the Skoll World Forum and showcased Book Dash at the Bologna Children's Book Fair.I believe in openly sharing social solutions. We're better off if knowledge were shared freely and widely. I am also lucky to be an alumni of the Social and Inclusive Business Camp 2020, Brightest Young Minds 2017, a Mail& Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans 2014 and LeadSA Hero 2014.I owe any accomplishments I've made to a relentless curiosity and enthusiasm about the world around me. I have benefitted hugely from the support, encouragement and resources of the people I know. I am dedicated to improving my knowledge and skills wherever possible. I believe that all problems have solutions if we put our hearts and minds into it.In addition to an overarching love for books, I also have particular literary soft spots for poetry, translation theory and linguistics. I write poetry and paint to nurture my own creativity and well-being.
