My major work through 2012-2022 was to complete and publish my novel The Midnight Pianist, published by Paper Horse Design & Publishing and launched in December 2013. Two more were released later as paperback and eBook by ETT Imprint, Sydney. I wrote TMP with young adults in mind, but I received plenty of feedback from baby boomer readers who enjoyed the nostalgia hit, as I set the story in 1960, in an Australian country town. The youngest reader is 12 and the oldest is a gentleman of 86.I received so many inquiries ("I want to know what happens next” my 3 books become a trilogy. Please read my article The Harmony of Limbo, as I tried to shut off all these unbidden voices that crowded my head. I needed a rest!The sequel, Playing with Keys - set mostly in Sydney in 1961 - will again be published by Paper Horse Design later in 2016. Over many years my short stories have been published in Australian national magazines and literary journals, notably Meanjin, Island, Antipodes (USA) and Panurge (UK). Since 2005, many of these stories have been broadcast on ABC Radio National, also my radio plays.The Australia Council for the Arts Literature Board awarded me a writers grant in 1991 and I published my adult novel Falling Glass late 2002. This novel set in inner-west Sydney, coastal NSW and on the road, references the 1991 Gulf War through media reportage. A revised edition of the novel with Afterword will be published as an ebook.
