“Why did you end up in programming?” This is a question I’ve heard a lot. When you look at my education and work history, you might be surprised to find that I completed a double major in Journalism and Psychology, or that I worked at one point as a Lead Graphic Designer, or that I chose to write an honours thesis as part of my last degree.I’d say, though, that there’s a through-line to all of my history. I’ve always loved a challenge. I’ve always loved to learn new skills, apply them, and solve problems. I’ve always loved to ask questions that, possibly, no one has ever answered before. And I’ve always loved to hunt for those answers.I graduated with a 3.99 GPA in Computer Programming at Algonquin College. I graduated from my previous program with the Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement. When I tell you I’m a passionate learner, know that I truly mean it.It took me some time to discover the wonderful world of computer programming. Once I did, I knew this was The One for me. I was hooked. Computer programming offers everything I loved in my previous experiences, and it’s a field that just keeps on giving. There are always new skills to learn, new problems to solve, and new products to explore and develop.I look forward to learning and developing my skills, wherever my career takes me next.
