We are working on a multicenter study to build a multimodal machine learning model to predict individual response of depression treatment. My main focus will be on the EEG. Excited to see this work unfold!

Resolving the post-ictal state of epilepsyAt Rijnstate hospital, Arnhem, The Netherland, we are currently conducting the first study aiming to alleviate side effects of seizures. We are making use of a human epilepsy model, studying patients with major depressive disorder receiving electroconvulsive therapy. Within this clinical randomized trial, we hope to show that paracetamol and a vasodilatory drug (nimodipine) relieve patients of their side effects (i.e., headache, myalgia, nausea, etc.). Electroencephalographic and magnetic resonance imaging readouts will be used for analyses along with clinical measures (i.e., questionnaires).
