As well as this I also managed my own accounts with bookings that generated a value of £10k or less. I had a revenue target to achieve on a quarterly and annual basis. I achieved my annual target in 2014 and achieved each quarter for 2015 and exceeded my annual target in quarter two. Due to previous experience with sales, if a client had a new enquiry I have the ability to take down the request and get full qualification before forwarding it to the relevant hotel. Due to my number of years working with Delphi I was tasked with training all new starters in our department on the computer system. During times that my manager was on holiday I was entrusted with doing any reporting that was required and covering the office in a supervisory role. My biggest achievement through good client relations was saving an account which had 3 bookings totalling £45k at one of our properties which wanted to cancel due to poor customer service. Through maintaining regular contact and good customer service with the client I persuaded them to allow me to check availability for their event within the group. I was able to offer them an alternative venue, of which I attended the showround with the client and secured the business. They have since contracted the repeat business for 2016 totalling £90K for the venue over 2 years. -

I was considered to be a very strong member of the team and a quality sales person. The QHotels chain had 21 hotels within their group and I was often asked to train new employees starting in their sales office due to my knowledge of Delphi computer system. On a daily basis I audited all the bookings that were entered into the system, to make sure they are inputted correctly and with enough information. This also allowed me to do a lot of diary management, controlling the business coming into the hotel through myself and my team, to make sure it is the best fit and suitably profitable for the hotel. I had the support of my Revenue Manager with decisions made. I provided support to my revenue manager with generating reports and participating in senior management meetings to discuss the business coming up in the following month. I also provided support on disciplinary procedures for other colleagues.My biggest achievement was working with the Olympics organising committee whilst doing my normal workload and secured a contract with them, so that the hotel would be used as the base in the Midlands for the male and female football teams. This was the largest single contract the hotel had ever had and was stated by the client it was due to my hard work and presentation skills that we secured the business, as they were contracted to use Hiltons and Marriotts. This contract meant that I was working closely with the General Manager of the hotel and senior people within the LOCOG team demonstrating my professionalism and capabilities of working with higher management. -

I was the only person doing this role, which was a lot of responsibility. I dealt with a number of types of bookings to birthday parties, gala dinners, Christmas parties, weddings and many more. My job consisted of full secretarial and administration duties including the compiling of operation and waiting lists, audio typing, dictation, diary management, customer service skill and compiling of rotas. This involved a lot of computer work using various custom made softwares. I was regularly having contact with patients through to the executive of the hospital. I felt that I maintained a professional and courteous manner throughout my time with whoever I was dealing with. On a monthly basis I had to attend the Consultants meeting to discuss the actions for the hospital where I took minutes. This was a very pressured job which had a lot of responsibilities and deadlines, which I felt I handled with the best of my capabilities. Unfortunately I did not feel there was the opportunity to move on at the present time.
