-Continuation of work performed under Virgin Galactic.-Newton 4 (N4) 2nd stage engine Responsible Engineer for the following projects: VO’s first-ever engine ATP campaign, VO’s first Stage Test campaign, and two separate engine development campaigns. Defined test matrices & autosequences, wrote assembly procedures and coordinated article builds, directed mate of propulsion hardware with integrated test articles and with test site GSE, wrote test plans & procedures, sat on console throughout test ops, led TSRR/TRRs and data reviews, and wrote an engine-to-rocket ICD that has since been adopted as the template for ICDs company-wide. -Developed VO’s 1st and 2nd stage injectors (part acquisition, build, checkouts, seal dev, test, and design iterations). Led a Newton 4 injector tuning campaign at NASA MSFC; researched and proposed 5 unique injector configurations, 4 of which demonstrated higher ηc* than the baseline configuration. Follow-up tests on the full N4 engine suggest an ηc* increase of 3-4% over the baseline configuration.-Assigned as primary Stage 2 Propulsion console operator for Virgin Orbit's first launch.-Served as Build Engineer for two development engine builds. Wrote all assembly and checkout instructions and continuously coordinated with technicians & engineers to incorporate layout and process improvements.-Defined propulsion components and instrumentation for rocket stages and engines allotted to VO’s flight test program. Published propulsion flight test assembly configurations in P&ID format.-Used NX and Ansys to design and analyze development and flight-grade propulsion hardware.
