Julia Roberts is a Director of Manannan Energy and Director of Operations for United Renewables, a leading Renewable Energy developer. Prior to these roles Julia was a Veterinary Surgeon.Julia graduated from Hartpury College with a Bachelor (Hons) of Animal Science in 2004, and subsequently achieved a direct entry into the second year of Veterinary Medicine at Glasgow University. Julia graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery.From 2009 to 2017 Julia worked in a variety of mixed and small animal practices in the Isle of Man and the UK. Julia always strived to combine a gold standard of patient care with excellent customer service which resulted in high client satisfaction and retention rates. From 2014 to 2017 Julia taught animal care at Writtle college further developing ways to breakdown complex concepts and delivering them in an engaging and exciting way.Julia now uses her communication and decision making skills, alongside management and leadership experience with knowledge of the countryside to progress renewable energy projects. Day to day management involves collaborating with project managers, navigating planning application process, liaising with the ecological and technical teams, locating new sites, point of contact for stakeholders and problem solving to maintain progress and improve efficiencies. Driven by a passion and determination that renewable energy and clean technologies are the solution to climate change while simultaneously providing direct benefit to the areas and communities in which it is implemented.
