About Julia Saelman

Mijn naam is Julia Saelman en ik ben in 2019 afgestudeerd van de master Klinische Kinder- en Jeugdpsychologie aan Tilburg University. Ik ben de opleiding Psychologie gaan volgen om mijn interesse verder te ontwikkelen en om kennis op te doen om kinderen en jongeren te helpen. Tijdens mijn scholing ben ik vrijwilliger geweest bij de Kindertelefoon in Tilburg, waar ik een opleiding heb gevolgd in gesprekstechnieken. Hier werd me meteen duidelijk dat kinder- en jeugdpsychologie de juiste richting voor mij is. Daarnaast ben ik ook vrijwilliger geweest bij onder andere Alzheimer Nederland en Emergis. Mijn masterstage bij Mentaal Beter Zeeuws-Vlaanderen bevestigde voor mij dat hulpverlening aan kinderen en jongeren mijn ambitie is, waaruit ik veel voldoening haal. Hierbij heb ik geleerd hoe belangrijk een persoonlijke aanpak is bij elk kind. Ik ben in 2019 vol enthousiasme begonnen bij Emergis Kind en Jeugd als psycholoog bij het zorgprogramma LVB. Met name bij deze doelgroep zijn de persoonsgerichte aanpak en de vaardigheden van de therapeut essentieel. In 2022 ben ik gestart bij De Kreek Premiumzorg bij team Kind & Jeugd. Hier behandel ik zowel basis als specialistische GGZ binnen de leeftijd van 4 tot 23 jaar. Ik heb hier mogen ervaren hoe waardevol het is om psychische ondersteuning te bieden binnen de eigen regio. In 2023 ben ik gestart met de opleiding tot VGCT Cognitief Gedragstherapeut. In 2024 ben ik gestart met een nieuwe uitdaging als volwassenen psycholoog bij Revant! Hier behandel ik revalidanten tijdens hun revalidatieproces bij de doelgroepen hartrevalidatie, oncologie en bewegingsapparaat.
