Over 30 years experience in the paintings conservation sector, in private practice and major public institutions in Australia and the United Kingdom. Most recently the Chief Conservator and Conservation Manager at David Stein and Co., based in Sydney, N.S.W. In addition to hands-on conservation, management of conservation team working on paintings from major public and significant private collections within Australia and the Asia Pacific Region. Previously director of Julia Sharp Painting Conservation, private practice in Sydney for 20 years.A fine arts background with a MA in the Conservation of Easel Paintings from the Courtauld Institute, University of London, and a BA in Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney University. Professional Member of the AICCM, a member of IIC, ICON and AIC.As a consultant, in addition to paintings conservation practice, my interests are around professional development, skills and innovation within the paintings conservation sector, education and mentorship of emerging conservators.
