My duties as a lifeguard are to provide supervision of guests in aquatic areas & on decks, enforce rules & regulations of the facility, respond to emergency situations & assist in communicating during emergencies, advise management of unsafe conditions, and perform daily pool maintenance duties to ensure facility safety & cleanliness.

I plan and lead swim practice sessions under the guidance of the head coach. This includes organizing drills, warm-ups, and cool-downs, as well as providing feedback and encouragement to swimmers. I assist in teaching proper swimming techniques for various strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly), starts, turns, and finishes. I also assist in swim meet preparation and support by organizing meet entries and coordinating relay teams. Lastly, I foster a positive team environment by promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, safety, and mutual respect among swimmers and coaching staff.

I responded to emergency calls and dispatched appropriate personnel using two-way radio communication. I also collaborated with other campus departments, such as facilities management, residence life, and student affairs, to address safety concerns and implement proactive measures to enhance campus security. Additionally, I also assisted with administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and maintaining departmental records, to support the efficient operation of the safety and security department.

I provided support and assistance to families at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Medical Center. This included engaging in conversations, offering comfort, and being a compassionate listener. I also assisted with administrative duties such as answering phones, taking messages, and responding to inquiries. Once per week, I would also transport free meals prepared at the Ronald McDonald House to different Cleveland area hospitals. I also maintained accurate records and documentation of family room usage and entered that information into Microsoft Excel.

I prepared a variety of food and beverage items for waterpark guests while maintaining sanitary and food safety standards. I provided friendly and efficient service, handled customer complaints or concerns professionally, and ensured customer satisfaction. I also processed customer transactions using cash registers or point-of-sale systems, including accepting payment, providing change, and issuing receipts. I ensured accuracy in cash handling and adhered to cash handling policies and procedures. Lastly, I monitored inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies and notifed management when items needed to be restocked.

I educated children ages 2-6 on water safety practices, including how to recognize hazards, how to enter and exit the water safely, and what to do in case of emergencies. I also developed lesson plans tailored to the skill level and needs of the students.
