The Circulation Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Coordinator of Adult Servicesand the Head of Circulation, assisting patrons with circulation and account concerns. Assist in circulation of library materials, registration of new patrons, miscellaneous clerical duties, various book stack duties, assist patrons in the selection of reading material through knowledge of the collection and useof readers’ advisory resources, assist in operational functions including shelf reading, filing, and data entry

Assist visitors to Historic Bethlehem's Downtown by answering questions with a positive attitude while providing dining and history tour suggestions. Inform visitors about all of the great things to do in Bethlehem! Visitor Guides are located at a podium with Ipads on Main Street in two locations.

Circulation desk: To cover the circulation desk, shelve books, make library cards & any other duties assigned by the supervisor. To assist library staff in the efficient management of circulation.Reference desk: Staff the reference desk, providing an initial point of contact for students, faculty, and the public. Direct patrons to the Reference Librarians for more involved research questions. Provide basic reference assistance by answering directional and routine reference questions in person or by telephone.Technology Services desk: Providing quality customer service. Keeping the lower level tidy. Processes and shelves periodicals. Provides assistance to users in locating periodicals and using equipment or directs the question to a Technical Services staff member or librarian. Shelves periodicals accurately in the current and bound stacks

Greet customers. Manage sign-in process. Lead game orientation.Process payment. Check-out merchandise sales. Diligently monitor games, quickly providing clues and additional assistance when appropriate. Lead post-game review sessions with enthusiasm and positivity. Quickly and accurately reset game rooms. Provide excellent customer service on the phone and in person. Maintain composure and enthusiasm while troubleshooting and solving customer issues.
