Julia co-founded Blue Sky Ranch in 2012. Blue Sky Ranch is a vertically integrated company including the ranch in BC's beautiful Nicola Valley, the artisanal butcher shop in Vancouver and a sales and distribution system that includes online sales, retail sales and farmers markets. An outspoken advocate for sustainable agriculture and animal welfare, Julia regularly takes time out from her responsibilities at Blue Sky Ranch to engage with like-minded organizations and individuals. She heads up "Slow Meat Canada," an initiative of the global Slow Food movement where she works alongside meat producers and consumers to move our food system to one that is better, cleaner and fairer for all.
