About Julia Thomson

North East based, I work remotely for the NCETM as Senior Communications & Marketing Manager.My experience is primarily in the field of marketing and communications, with an additional nine years spent as a primary teacher and senior leader.I'm interested in how children learn, maths anxiety and how we can improve maths teaching and learning so that no child is left behind. I'm proud of the work we do at the NCETM to make that happen, and my own role leading the NCETM's Communications Team in promoting the fully funded professional development opportunities available for teachers, schools and colleges through the Maths Hubs Programme.
