● As an Americorps Fall Forestry Corpsmember, I conducted wildfire mitigation efforts by implementing proactive measures to reduce fire risk in forested areas, contributing to community safety and environmental preservation.● Completed a wildfire mitigation project that coordinated with Wildfire Partners in Boulder County, CO. ● Ensured people’s homes were protected in the case of a wildfire, preventing fires from becoming catastrophic, and clearing adequate accessibility for firefighters. ● Worked under harsh conditions which has enhanced innovative problem-solving and adaptability skills. ● Collaborating with my fellow Americorps members and community partners developed teamwork abilities to ensure quality performance by a certain deadline. ● Planning, organizing and executing service projects builds project managing skills. ● Fostered resilience and perseverance by overcoming challenges and setbacks.● Camped at a designated campground from Monday to Thursday for six consecutive weeks, facilitating close proximity to the various project sites we conducted throughout the day.
