I now have one year of experience as an RN Case Manager, in charge of coordinating the care of my various patients as well as the caregivers at Brightstar Care of Richmond. I oversaw the start of care, continuation of care, crisis management, and also see patients as well. I have completed skilled nursing care assignments including wound care, trach care, and post op monitoring. I am also a clinical nurse II, which encompasses quality patient care, leadership building, and evidence based practice. I have experience as a charge RN, I am a preceptor, I work with the R&R committee, and I am an active participant in research to better the nursing practice.I have been a caretaker since I was 13 - ranging from nannying to food service. I love philanthropy and my best fun fact is I did two medical mission trips at the Amazon River in Brazil, one during the World Cup!I was a home health aid and long term care volunteer through my college years. I also worked with JMU’s technology/testing services as a test scoring assistant.I love art, reading, history, civil justice, biology, geometry, civil engineering and athletics.
