Perseverance and Work Ethic. My name is Julia Albert, and I am a 2nd year student at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University – Bloomington. I am currently pursuing a Finance Major with a Minor in Public Health. I am deeply passionate about campus involvement and philanthropy. Therefore, I became a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and joined the entertainment committee for the Indiana University Dance Marathon. My experiences as President of my High School’s Women in Business Club and a Volunteer for St. Jude’s NYC office helped me develop skills around problem-solving, communication and persistence. After being born and raised in NYC, I wanted to develop my professional skills and expand my knowledge by pursuing an education at a nationally ranked business school. I am passionate about enhancing my professional skills throughout my time at Kelley to ensure I will add great value to the companies I work at in the future. I am strongly grounded by my personal morals and values. I thrive in environments where differing experience levels are welcomed. My personal values and skills surrounding leadership, accountability, teamwork, strategic thinking and communication can pair well with organizations who are looking for individuals that prioritize contributing to a bigger picture and place great focus on company performance. My short-term goals are to gain valuable knowledge and experiences during my time at Indiana University that will expose me to various people and belief systems. I also hope to take part in industry internships that will help me better understand the real-life applications of what I learn in my classes. My long-term goals after college are to add value to an organization that appreciates new talent, prioritizes developing both EQ and IQ skills, and empowers their employees and consumers.
