From Montréal, Julia Deutsch is a trade lawyer based in Ottawa. Following her graduation from McGill University's Faculty of Law, she acted as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Federal Court of Canada where she worked in Administrative Law and Intellectual Property Law. Julia graduated from University of Toronto, with an Honours B.A., Peace and Conflict Studies in 2013. She has spent summers at Oxford, the London School of Economics and Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She’s been a Forum for Young Canadians delegate, a tour guide for the Library of Parliament, a co-director for the annual Trudeau Centre Peace, Conflict and Justice Conference, an award-winning debater, and was a research assistant on human rights issues for two professors at the Munk School of Global Affairs at University of Toronto. Julia has been a parliamentary intern twice and subsequently a parliamentary assistant.In her spare time, Julia is training as a sommelier. She has also obtained a certification as an instructor in restorative yoga.
